Moved out of Ohio? One firm for both states.
The year you move, you file in two states. Keep the preparer who knows your history, and work with us entirely online.
Who it is for
People between two states
Clients who moved away and kept us, people who moved here, and anyone who lives in one state and earns income in another.
Moved away from Ohio

Moved to Ohio
The same in reverse, plus the school district and city where you now live.
Working across a state line
A return for the state where you work, and a credit on your home state’s return where the law gives one.

How we price
Your first conversation is free.
Each fee is set by the work your situation takes — the forms, the entities, the state of the books. You get a written quote before we start, and no surprise bills. More on how we price
Do I file an Ohio return the year I move away?
Generally yes: a part-year resident files the Ohio IT 1040 and reports the whole year’s income, and Ohio gives a credit for the income earned while you lived elsewhere. The Ohio Department of Taxation’s instructions for the IT 1040 explain how.
Can you prepare my new state’s return?
Yes. We prepare returns for every state where you need to file, alongside your federal and Ohio returns.
Do I need to come to the office?
No. Clients anywhere in the United States work with us entirely online.
